Frequently Asked Questions

What is HardwareDB?
HardwareDB (HDB) is a database of computer components, drivers and also a friendly community.
Who is adding content to HardwareDB?
The content on the site is added by the administrators and webmasters who consist mostly of volunteers who do it for fun and who enjoy it.
What about the .iso files? Are they cracked?
All .iso files we keep on the site are legal for use at most, in the case of Windows it is a legal non-activated version for which you need a license key for full use.
Are all the files on the site up to date?
We try to keep all the files on the site up to date, but again we only try to keep files that we know will be used, so logically we won't keep the latest drivers for the Pentium 4 motherboard. if you find a file is broken or incorrect or not updated, please contact us on Discord or email us at the email listed on contact page.
How to become a contributor to HardwareDB?
Becoming a contributor is open to anyone who is willing to actively pursue it, knows English and is interested in computers or things around them, if you think you are the ideal contributor, write us on discord or on our email, we will be happy to welcome a new team member :)
Where is all the data stored?
We store all data only on our own servers, currently we have two servers, both in the Czech Republic, one in Prague and the other in South Bohemia, in Strakonice The server in Strakonice is the main data server which has a capacity of up to 2TB, both servers are managed by PiNode.eu and f-kuta.eu
